The Rolling Stones’ ‘Havana Moon’ In Cinemas Worldwide

Filmed by director Paul Dugdale, Havana Moon depicts the Stones' visit to Cuba to become the first rock band to play a free outdoor show there, for hundreds of thousands of fans on Good Friday, 25 March. Musicscreen, specialists in creating cinematic events with music films, are distributing it to more than a thousand screens throughout Europe, Australia, Russia, Japan and Latin America. Tickets for the screenings go on sale at the beginning of August at www.stonesincuba.com.

“The Cuba show was simply amazing,” says Mick Jagger. “It was an incredible moment; a huge sea of people for as far as the eye could see. You could feel the buzz of the enthusiasm from the crowd and that was for me the standout moment.”

Adds Keith Richards of the occasion: “There’s the sun the moon the stars and The Rolling Stones. Seeing Cuba finally get the chance to rock out was special ...a night to remember in Havana.”

During the concert, Jagger told the massive audience: “Finally the times are changing...Cuba we are so happy to be here." He also playfully described his bandmates as "The Revolutionary Ronnie Wood…Charlie 'Che' Watts….compadre Keith Richards.”

The Stones' show in Havana included such timeless, trademark hits as ‘Jumpin’ Jack Flash’, ‘It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll’, ‘Paint It Black’, ‘Honky Tonk Women’, ‘Start Me Up’, ‘Brown Sugar’' and ‘(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,' as well as fan favourites including 'Out Of Control' and 'You Got The Silver.'

Musicscreen CEO David Pope adds of the screenings: “The Havana Moon cinema experience immerses the audience in fantastic surround sound with super high definition visuals, it is the closest you will get to being there, don’t miss it!”
